● Directed a Senior Thesis investigating the age and growth rate of geysers in Yellowstone National park as a part of a multi-institutional research project

● Identified compositions and morphologies of samples using XRD, SEM, and optical microscopy; independently created 50+ thin sections; bathed samples in Hydrogen Peroxide, HCl, and HF in preparation for radiocarbon dating UC Berkeley Field Geology and Digital Mapping September 2017 - Present

● Improved understanding of the subsurface structure, composition, and the rate of uplift of the Long Valley Caldera by measuring relative gravity, seismic refraction, and electrical resistance; data submitted to a national database

● Produced original research papers and professional maps of the Berkeley Hills, Long Valley Caldera, Benton Range, and Panum Crater.

UC Irvine Keck-Carbon Cycle AMS Lab June 2017 and 2018

● Radiocarbon dated silica sinter samples; combusted, hydrolyzed, and graphitized samples utilizing the Bosch reaction; quantified the resulting carbon dioxide gas through cryogenic purification in a high vacuum system UCSD Research with Jane Willenbring May 2017 - June 2017
