Plant Human Resources Manager

Recruited into this senior Human Resources management role with this stainless-steel manufacturer to support the company’s expansion into the North American market by assisting in the startup of the $4.0 billion Greenfield plant operations in Mobile, AL. Led several aspects of human resources operations during start-up for this large plant with more than 800 employees.

• Managed the recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring process and directed the new hire orientation that built the entire workforce for the facility; successfully achieved start-up staff management goals.

• Built strong employee relations, established an environment of open communication, and led the successful union avoidance strategy by educating team members on advantages/benefits of maintaining a non-union environment.

• Planned and coordinated the internationally-located training, scheduling, and logistics for 80 team members in Germany on equipment operation and maintenance training and certification programs.
