Mechanical Engineer with over 20+ years of operational and commercial experience working within the Oil & Gas industry, managing Land Drilling Rig operations and all phases of the Contracts – Projects life cycle (Identify-Qualify-Solve-Propose-Win-Execute-Close) providing technical, commercial, legal, compliance and financial support for sales quotation development and the proposal of products, services and equipment, leading contract negotiations and discussions, including Service Master Agreements (SMA), and contract executions.

Provision of commercial and operational consulting services associated with Land Drilling and Workover Rigs and Wells Construction activities.

Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) / Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for the quotation of Land Drilling Rigs, Well Construction Services, Equipment and Tools in a timely manner: Liaise closely across all functions (Product Lines, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Risk & Credit Departments) to analyze RFPs/RFQs specifications, drawings and other documentation for offers preparation in compliance with customer expectations and company commercial/contracting policies, processes and procedures.

Prepare estimates and calculate costs factors including risk allocations, bonds and another kind of guarantees to be agreed under contract. Analyze vendors and subcontractors offers and determine cost-effectiveness.

Lead contracts successful negotiation and ensure final contracts review, approval and signature in accordance company policy and commercial procedures. Ensure issuance of insurances, performance and labor bonds, letters of credit, parent company guarantee and other kind of guarantees agreed under contracts.

Lead contracts handover to internal stakeholders: inform/clarify roles and responsibilities. Risks review and management with internal stakeholders.

Lead contract management activities including but not limited to monitoring and reporting contracts progress, collaborate and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders for the proper contracts execution providing support and guidance for the management of contracts delivering obligations and claiming rights under contracts, contracts internal audits, change control, contracts modification, records and documentation. Promote changes to increase the accuracy and efficiency of Contracts. Ensure contracts closure and handover learning lessons.

Support Legal Department for contractual revisions; prepare contracts drafts including master service agreements and third parties service agreements.

Drilling Engineering and Land Drilling Rig Operations. Prepare and execute wells programs providing the necessary logistics for drilling the wells. Working actively as member of a drilling crew; managing land drilling rig operations.

Working on IADC WellSharp Instructor Certification (ongoing process).

Provide HSE leadership and ensuring personal/team compliance with corporate laws, policies and procedures.

Position: Contracts Manager, Land Drilling Rigs Operations

Lead the commercial activities, including contracts negotiation, of eight (8) land drilling rigs operations in Venezuela and provided tender and contracts support for seven (7) land drilling rigs located in Mexico.
