Business Analysis: Responsible for Cost & Variance analysis vs the Budget and LF1/2, of the different cost elements upto the COGS level for the platform, collating and evaluating right reasons for the variances by closely interacting with the site operation and finance teams.
Business Planning – Support the monthly forecasting and planning process of the platform’s Operating Income and actively collaborating with the site heads in identifying appropriate risks and opportunities and its financial implications for the manufacturing sites.
Process Measurement and Improvements – Work with co-partners across the world and site leaders to drive continuous process improvements to bring efficiencies in the existing setup and implement best practices from other engagements
Liaison with business and upstream data providers to ensure robust reporting information in the systems.
Working closely with the sites and cross functional teams in Annual budgeting and forecasting exercise & facilitating sites in Standard costing activities done once in a year.
Capex Evaluation- Financial Analysis capital expenditure proposals submitted by the sites and ensuring their timely approval though different layers of Management. Work Experience

1. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Financial Analyst for Steel Division:
Actively participate and support the Financial Annual Business Plan (ABP) and Long Term Business Plan (LTP) for the Steel Manufacturing division.
Responsible for Cost and Variance analysis vs the Budget of the Long product and Flat product business using Fish Bone diagrams and preparing report on the deviations by closely interacting with the operation team.

Evaluation of company’s performance as compared to its peers/competitor on parameters such as Cost, Net Realization, sales in various business segments, margins, new business areas ventured etc.
Identification & Monitoring of BU Wise Risks, its Early Warning Indicators (EWI’s) & evaluating suitable mitigation strategy by interacting with operations and sales team. 2. Capex Proposal Evaluation

4. Advocacy in GST Implementation: (Indirect Tax in India)
Analysing the impact of GST on the different product lines of the division and in the overall Supply chain and making representations on the key areas negatively impacted to various regulatory bodies to seek required exemptions or remedy.
Representing impact of GST from Marketing and Sales perspective to the indirect tax team and closely working with the consultants to adhere to the required changes in the law.
Working with Indirect tax team to conduct various sessions with the Operations and Marketing team to educate on the impact and implications of GST as this law was newly adopted by the country last year and has replaced innumerable indirect tax laws that previously existed in India.
