Hello, please call me Ed,

I am an Eagle Scout, and a Veteran of the US Navy, I am proud of both of those accomplishments.

You can see from my résumé that I have been involved in tooling, injection molding, and the manufacturing Industry since 1973. I have only had three jobs until now. I have held a number of job titles, Tool & Die Maker, Mold maker, Senior Process Engineer, Facilities Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Manufacturing Engineer. Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

I want to share my last Job at Molex High Performance Cable. I went to work at HPC on October 9, 1994

I hired in as a manufacturing Engineer, I was the 3rd employee hired into a New Business Unit. In the early days

We all wore many hats. I was the Tool Maker, The Mold Designer, The mold press procurement agent, the

Mold setup, the process engineer, as well as the trouble shooter and maintenance person for the production

assembly equipment. We started the HPC business unit in the Molex Little Rock Connector plant in Maumelle

Arkansas. In 1995 We moved into our own building in North Little Rock. We had one product line we inherited

From the LRC plant and several new product lines that wee developing. At this point I hired a tool & die maker,

And A Maintenance Technician. I started buying mold presses and Equipment for the tool room, and equipment for the production floor, that included wire processing equipment, laser wire strippers, resistance

Welders, and many hand operated fixtures and dies. In 1996 I was promoted to Manufacturing Engineering Manager. I hired a manufacturing Engineer and more tool & die makers, and maintenance technicians. Purchased more presses, and production equipment. I bought the first Wire EDM that Molex had in Arkansas.

By 1999 we had out grown the building in NLR. We then purchased a building in Maumelle Arkansas. After buying this building we added a 25000 square foot addition to the building giving us a total of 52000 s/f.

Our Production Manager and I Met on a daily basis with the contractor until the construction was complete. HPC moved into this building in 2000.

Our business continued to grow. By 2005 I had 6 tool & Die makers, 5 Manufacturing Engineers, a Process Engineer, and 3 Maintenance Technicians that reported to me. We had 25 injection Molding Presses

From 10 ton to 100 ton. Most were vertical clamp insert molds. At this point we were almost out of space again. The original product line we inherited had grown to almost 50% of our business. We decided to move that product line to another building in Camden Arkansas.

In 2012 I lost my Process Engineer. We moved the Manufacturing Engineers to another manager, I still managed the tool room, all the molding operation including Mold design & build, Mold setup and process,

In 2013 I move out of the tool room supervisor position to concentrate on new product development, I also

Took over the Facilities manager role and Hired a full time building maintenance tech. I still had responsibility

For everything to do with Molding. Buying new Mold presses & tooling, getting them debugged and installed in other Facilities in Mexico, and the Philippines. I designed a mold press that I had built and integrated into an

Automation assembly machine. It is running in the Molex Facility in Dongguan China.

For 20 years HPC was the fastest growing and the most profitable Business Unit. I was proud to be a key part of that success.

I am now interested in finding a company that can benefit from my vast experience in tooling, molding and manufacturing.
