SQL Database Developer/Data Analyst

Created complex T-SQL queries for generating reports by working on large data files/tables with an average of 70-80 million rows and more than 100 columns.

Visa Information Service and Tracking of Applicants (VISTA) is a web-based document imaging and workflow management application which helps automate the process of issuing Visas to legitimate foreign travelers and denying entry to ineligible foreign nationals and is developed for DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS). The system uses an Oracle 8.0 RDBMS as the server on a Windows NT/2000 operating system with Visual Basic 6.0, IIS, Visual Interdev, Eastman Workflow, Crystal Reports and other Third-party tools.

Designed and developed dynamic interactive web pages (Active Server Pages) in Visual Interdev 6.0 delivered to users via the DOS Intranet

Developed out-of-process COM components using ActiveX DLL’s that reduced DOS personnel work load by 50%. Designed and developed Crystal Reports.

Visual Basic Developer

Designed and developed a front-end tool called Feeder Direct Reporting (FDR) tool. FDR Tool was one of the tools in the Business Data Management System (BDMS) project, acronym for Cinergy’s financial and accounting system. BDMS basically is a system that accepts transactions from feeder systems, performs some validations on these transactions, and creates additional records to meet Cinergy’s external reporting needs. This tool will provide access to managers and others who have a need for quick access to transactions that have been entered through the accounting system feeder systems (payroll, accounts payable, Inventory, etc.). The information is displayed both in Crystal Report windows and graphically, and can be printed, e-mailed, or exported to other formats, such as Excel or Word. Responsibilities included designing front-end screens and writing business logic. Use of crystal reports 6.0 for reporting and Pinnacle Graphics Server 5.0 for ActiveX controls was used. Also, involved in technical and database design.
