Projects

Virtual U

University of Advancing Technology

Programmer

Virtual U is an Education based Technology, learning through Gamification of Education. It was planned and implemented by the VU team to assist beginner thru advanced programmers to understand the fundamental concepts and syntax of coding languages. The target market is the K – 12 and first year college student learning to program. VU utilized the Virtual Reality System the HTC VIVE and the UNITY game engine with the C# language. This technology gave us the unique opportunity to take the “Theory” of learning process and allow the user to physically manipulate what normally would be lectured. The ability of the user to touch the 5 key concepts of learning in a single session, will increase retention and allow for better understanding of the material.

Intern

University of Advancing Technology

Programmer

During my Internship, I have worked to fix source code in UAT’s intranet. Many areas of the original code are not dynamic and have hard coded data assigned to them. I have been slowly creating dynamic data management to replace the antiquated code with the intentions of creating a more user friendly ability to modify the data.

I have also been tasked with updating the web content for portions of the school’s intranet web pages. Much of the web content of the school’s web pages is far out of date and needs to be corrected for use and information of the student body.

Commencement

University of Advancing Technology

Project Lead/Programmer

Currently in progress. My team is building a game to entertain and inform the family and other persons who have supported the graduating student, of the task and accomplishments of the student they have supported. We are attempting to show them the many steps and tasks needed to successfully navigate the academic environment to achieve the goal of Graduation. This process will require the building of a database, a web based application for user interaction, and a game engine using UNITY.
