New Product Design: Worked closely with Product Engineering on all new designs resulting being named on five patents. Used knowledge of high performance materials such as metals, epoxies, glass, ceramics, thermal set/thermoplastics, RTV elastomers, 0-ring materials, specialized coatings etc. to design components (rubber gaskets/seals, glass electrodes, cables), and complete sensors in response to customer needs.
Capital Equip. Introduction/Validation: Defined required specifications, prepared cost justification, reviewed multiple vendors, reviewed on site acceptance testing, and documented validation on multiple molds, ultrasonic welders, curing ovens, induction heaters, and test equipment.
Forensic Failure Analysis: Performed forensic failure analysis on internal, vendors, and external customers to provide corrective action and controls to prevent re-occurrence.
Lean Enterprise: Used the principles of Lean to improve layout reducing needed floor space from 5,000ft2 to 3,000ft2 and reduced lead times from two weeks to 24 hours.
Testing Program: Defined required equipment and methods for component and final product testing.
