CHIEF CLININCAL DIETITIAN (2004-PRESENT)

Responsible for overseeing a staff of Clinical Dietitians. Responsible for ensuring all patient nutrition needs are met from patient’s (pediatric through geriatric) with a variety of diagnosis and co morbidities. This involves ensuring all nutrition assessments and follow ups are completed within the time frame consistent with the department policy and procedure manual. Develops and updates policy and procedure manuals for both Food and Nutrition Services. Ensures policies and procedures are consistent with licensing bodies: JCAHO, Medicare, and Health Department. Plans menus for the entire hospital in compliance with Medicare standards and Federal guidelines for children. Ultimately responsible for all aspects of Clinical Nutrition. Provides complete nutrition assessments for all patients, pediatric through adult. Participates in treatment team staffing. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies. Updates the nutrition policy and procedure manual as needed. Manages a staff of registered dietitians. Actively involved in the hospital performance improvement committee. CHIEF CLININCAL DIETITIANAND FOOD SERVICE MANAGER (2004- 2012)

Responsible for quality assurance for both the department including; establishing monitoring targets, monitoring tools and reporting results. Responsible for Purchasing of new kitchen equipment as needed annually as part of the annual budget. Writes justification for new equipment, reviews specifications, obtains vendor bids, works with vendors and food service/maintenance staff to facilitate delivery and set up of equipment. For the Food Service department, managed an operational budget of 1.2 million dollars per year. This budget includes; FTE management for food services department, employee scheduling, food ordering, and weekly invoices. Responsible for staffing the department including interviewing as well as employee coaching, counseling and annual performance reviews. Holds regular department meeting with staff for training and communication. Ensures all staff have their food handler’s permit and department compliance with Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control points.

CLININCAL DIETITIAN (1991-2004)

Provided nutrition assessments for patients of all ages and neurological diagnosis. Attended patient conferences, an active member on the hospital dysphasia team. Provided in-services to food service staff. Modified menus for patients. Participated in menu planning.
