January 2014 to April 2018; Ganin Fertility Center, Cairo,

I as working as a consultant at Ganin Fertility Center which is a pioneer center in the field of assisted reproduction in Egypt.

At Ganin Fertility Center (GFC), I was running a special infertility clinic, doing initial couple assessment ultrasound scan, performing 3-D trans-vaginal, selecting the appropriate stimulation protocol, doing folliculometry, egg retrieval and embryo transfer.

Special infertility clinic include management of wide varieties of difficult cases our center is unique in their management; like PCO, endometriosis, recurrent miscarriages, repeated ICSI failure.

I was in charge for all advanced gynaecological reroductive surgeries includding hysteroscoies, laparoscopies, myomectomies.

I was aslso performing antenatal care for high risk cases based on my previous experience.

December 2007 – Dec. 2013: Registrar at King Faisal Armed Forces Hospital, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

King Faisal Armed Forces Hospital is a 120 beds of Obstetrics and Gynecology with back up services provided by King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital, A 377 bedded tertiary care hospital. King Faisal Hospital with 50 bedded NICU.

The delivery rate at our hospital is 7,000 deliveries per annum with a caesarean section rate of 24%. The outpatient department has the total admission of 77,000 patients annually. The hospital is recognized for training by Saudi council of Health Specialties, Arab Board, MRCOG and FCPS part 2 Examination.

I am actively involved in the diagnosis and subsequent management of both routine and emergency Obstetrics and Gynaecological admissions, participating in the weekly academic half days post graduate tutorials and seminars, including maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity

meetings.

El-Galaa Maternity Teaching Hospital is a busy teaching hospital; with nearly 12,000 deliveries per annum. It has 300 Obstetrics & Gynecology beds, 36 intensive care baby cots and an intensive care unit jointly run by obstetricians and Anesthetists. Moreover, there are specialized clinic in subfertility, family planning, urogynecology, assisted reproduction unit and early cancer screening unit.

The Hospital is recognized for RCOG training and most of the consultants are members or fellows of the RCOG.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

THE GENERAL DOMAIN OF OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY

A-Gynecological:

General Gynecology

I have a good experience in the general domain of gynecology, managing both acute and chronic gynecological cases. I have broadened my experience in the management of all the different gynecological conditions to suit my patients’ needs. I have been running different specialized clinics that deal with different specific gynecological conditions according the latest available scientific evidence, and with the latest available technology that furnish to my patients their best cost effective management options.

Gynecological Surgery

I have performed all the minor and most major gynecological operations, including myomectomies, vaginal repairs, abdominal hysterectomies for different indications and vaginal hysterectomies.

Minimal Access Surgery (Endoscopic Surgery)

I am performing diagnostic and operative laparoscopies including aspiration biopsy of ovarian cysts, ovarian diathermy and ectopic pregnancies management, tubal occlusion.

I am also performing daily diagnostic hysteroscopy, as a pre requisite before ICSI.

Ultrasound Gynecological Scanning

I have a very good experience in trans-vaginal ultrasound scanning including 3-D in the assessment of my patients.

B- Obstetric Experience:

(1) Ante-natal

I have good experience in the antenatal care of both the low and high risk obstetric cases. I have a very good experience in the management of high risk pregnancy clinic including various medical disorders with pregnancy( hypertension, diabetes hematological, neurological and immunological disorders) in addition to special obstetric problems as pre eclampsia, obstetric cholestasis, multiple pregnancies according to the latest evidence based protocols.

(2)Ultrasound Obstetric Scanning

I have a good experience in obstetric ultrasound including fetal biometry, assessment of fetal wellbeing, as well as trans-vaginal scan for assessment of early pregnancy problems.

(3) Delivery & post-natal

I have a very good experience in management of complicated vaginal deliveries including instrumental deliveries, breech and twin deliveries; shoulder dystocia, third stage complications; including repair of third& fourth degree perineal tear .

Interpreting of CTGs and performing fetal blood sample as indicated.

I have performed hundreds of Caesarean sections for both elective and emergency indications with variable difficulties including adhesions, placenta preavia and caesarean hysterectomy.

In brief, I have a wide Obstetric experience that I am confident enough in labour ward management.
