•This project explains the use of Ansys in analyzing gear box and make changes in the design to meet the objective.

•The Iterative study was made on the Gear box, the suitable material selected for housing is Stainless steel and that of the flange is Grey Cast Iron.

•Results obtained using the FEA model showing the total deformation, Von Mises Stress, Maximum Principal Stress & Strain Energy in the Gear box using Ansys Workbench.

Simulation of Flow Through Butterfly Valve Jan 2015

•The investigation of the flow characteristics through a butterfly valve and for incompressible flow regime was studied using computational fluid dynamics techniques (CFD).

•Characterizing a valve's performance factors, such as pressure drop and velocity characteristics is necessary for fluid system designers to account for system requirements to properly operate the valve and prevent permanent damage from occurring.

•The flow field was visualized and the performance factors of the valve were computed using Ansys Workbench.
