EMPLOYMENT HISTORY 04/01/2011-01/01/2012: Registered Nurse at Mid America acute

Rehab Hospital, LeaWood, Kansas. I am proficient in all nursing skills essential for safe, quality

nursing care on a rehab/ medical-surgical unit. While employed at this facility I regularly provided

care for 7-8 patients per shift which includes wound and incision care; including wound vac-

devices, ostomy care, management of medication regimen, IV initiation, line maintenance and

medication mixing and administration. I assisted PT, OT and speech therapist on a regular basis

in preparation for patient participation of therapy. I was recognized for my competence in

administering medical procedures along with an excellent ability to work in a fast paced and

included: spinal cord injury (SCI) traumatic brain injury (TBI) cardiac injury, orthopedic surgical

care and multiple degenerative disease processes. Management for the patients in my care

included wound and incision care, NG tube management, Tracheotomy and ostomy care,

medication regimen, IV maintenance and medication administration. During my employment at

this facility I became adept at providing direct nursing care and making the most of my

compassionate personality to truly make a patients’ stay at the hospital comfortable.

01/05/2013 to 03/28/2013: Centennial Pediatric Clinic, Spring Hill, Tennessee. Provided

temporary PRN/ Full- time coverage as a Registered Nurse in a busy pediatric setting. Duties

included healthcare assessments, wellness visits, routine immunizations and lab work for infants

and children 1 week to 18 years of age in a busy acute care clinic centrally located to serve a

rural community.

final stages of varying disease processes and providing palliative care and hospice services for

patients and as they transition throughout the post-acute care continuum. As a field nurse I

provided care for patients in their home in addition to persons living in assisted living facilities. I

have learned a great deal caring for patients with progressive illnesses and providing support for

individuals with life-limiting illness in addition to meeting the needs of their families.
