Server was taking and inputting orders into the computer systems during a fast paced lunch or dinner. Making sure the order not only went into the system correctly but was also made and delivered correctly to the guest. It was a team environment that needed motivation and training to work positively. Clear and bus tables and reset them to company policy. Organizational skills to keep on top of the needs of my guests. Always being available to the guest and to make sure it was positive experience. Being able to correct a problem and taking it one step further to recover the guests experience by making a possible negative experience into a positive one.

Cash Handling.

Bartender requirements were similar to the server but not limited to just bar guests dining and drinking but working the service bar for the server’s drinks. Assisting in delivering drinks on time. Bar cleanliness, re stocking, basset certification, fun, friendly and multi-tasking position. Once a week inventory was counted for the bar supplies and back stock. Cash handling. Taking to go orders from phone in orders.

Became a 4 Star Trainer where I trained new employees in any position in front of house of the restaurant. Whether it be hostess, bartender, or server. Gave the employee the motivation, skills, and knowledge to do the job by company standards. We used a technique where we told them what to do, showed them what to do, then reviewed. I had to know the specs of the menu and the drink menu.

Shift Leader: was acting manager for the shift. Professional and exciting appearance. Either opening the store for business or shutting it down for the night. Cash handling and deposits to the bank. Inventory nightly. Counting in the delivery truck during hours. Keeping the team motivated. Handling any disputes between employees or with a guest. This position also required table stops and table audits every employee on the shift that day per hour. Burn board had to filled out for any wasted food as well temperatures for food on the line and the salad bar had to be notated every two hours.

Catering Specialist: Responsible for prepping some foods for a delivery. Preparing and wrapping the order. Making sure all supplies were ready for the order to go with the order. Personally delivering the order correctly, on time and hot. Responsible for ordering supplies as needed by doing a weekly inventory. Always looking and acting professional.

I enjoy the interaction and to see the dogs and owners become one with each other. The new found acceptance and relationship that is formed.
