Re: Technical Writer
Sirs:
To deliver quality technical documentation, one must be comfortable with the details, and processes of science, technology, and business enterprises. I most frequently develop extensive sets of documentation in the support of discoveries, re-discoveries, inventions, proposals, and other business support functions. I also use the documentation process to drive the completion of project objectives. The process of problem documentation can also clarify, and help solve problems.
I have authored documentation in application domains that include, yet are not limited to aerospace, archaic technology, geometry, building technology, projects, and systems. I also create many, though not all illustrations that elaborate, or ornament a document. After a pause of a few years, I have recently resumed posting of technical papers to the ResearchGate.net website (Berlin) in my spare time, in order to eventually transfer a substantial fraction of my IP to the public domain. Perhaps, my musings may inspire someone. I prefer to engage on a contract basis, especially since many benefits are redundant to my family’s healthcare situation.
Thank You for considering my candidacy,
Gary J. 'ROD' Rodriguez

Re: Technical Writer
Qualifications
Extensive experience in consulting, and contract research and development in diverse markets that include aerospace/avionics, engineering, industrial, oilwell, science, systems and building products. Hardware/software integration, embedded, diagnostics, team, and project management. Every project begins, and ends with high-fidelity documentation. Achievements (chronological)
φ Many examples of troubleshooting problems. In one situation, I identified the problem within two hours on the first day of a consulting call – and the manager later claimed that a dozen engineers had worked on the problem for six months, at a cost that exceeded $500K φ Developed a Data Acquisition Controller logic card that replaced both a computer board, and software – converting an existing Rockwell-Collins BSIU computer product into a Flight Data Recorder for use aboard the President’s Helicopter Fleet at Pax River NAS – simplifying the product, and enhancing reliability. The deployment has yet to exhibit a single documented failure, or glitch, operating aboard the Marine One fleet of VH3, and VH60 aircraft – exceeding the specified twenty years of product life cycle φ Sold the Colorado School of Mines on a research project for NASA BAA/Lunar Dust project, developing the project proposal, including the project management plan, schedule, budget, and a detailed, four-year Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)/Statement of Work (SOW) – securing a $15M NASA BAA contract for the Colorado School of Mines φ Developed software tools to support payload, and vehicle integration, plus on-orbit remote operation/recommissioning for Air Force Research Laboratories. Developed extensive documentation, and managed the project, leveraging two generations of proprietary (in- house) remote debug monitors that supported on-orbit operations as if the system were on- the-bench, leading to commercial users of the sIDErealTM software package φ Lead development of software tools, and a series of exploratory research contracts that studied feasibility of various electric/ion-drive long duration missions – making significant breakthroughs that had eluded the client’s mission teams, enabling the intended missions φ Independent developments, and documentation in machine cognition prized from ontogenic structure, and concurrent with geometric tools that exhibit a high fidelity to nature φ Collaborative research, and development of a table-top, battery-powered, aneutronic fusion process that does not require magnetic or metal lattice confinement, or massive scales of power, or construction. Authored the provisional, and draft patent, which is pending. Work History
