During the execution of project, the Site Manager (SM) I’m responsible for determining all requirements by identifying and working with stakeholders, researching historical data within the company and within the industry and forecasting future requirements. The SM will be employ others to execute the design, but will still retain responsibility for the results by monitoring status and directing the project. The SM will be responsible for coordinating the required activities of company and contractor personnel to insure the successful completion of major projects.

The overall scope covered all the work necessary to engineer, design, procure, construct and pre-commission the LNG plant.

The Plant facilities comprise two LNG trains, each of 300 tonnes per hour or 2.4 mtpa LNG production capacity, along with LNG storage and loading facilities, a flare system, LNG transfer facilities, sulfur handling/loading facilities and associated utilities and offsite facilities.

The contract between the Owner and Contractors was a fixed lump sum type contract valued at approximately US$ 3 billion. The contract called for package-wise completion and the Plant Hand Over (PHO) of the facilities listed below, and attendant liquidated damages for delay in turning over each of the packages.


To administer project procedures, programme discipline workloads, lead a team of professionals from all disciplines to complete the project by complying with scope of work and Specifications and provide technical advice and support in developing and coordinating the required studies.

Working as Project Coordinator/Manager for GLT-Plus/NAM (Shell) on the location Norg in the Netherlands.

The intention is to install a multi-disciplinary Engineering team on site during Norg Construction phase.

With the intention to support the construction disciplined by clarifying technical queries and or

uncertainties in the final issued RFC package so planning disturbance can be kept to a minimum during

the actual Construction execution.

Short communication lines between Engineering disciplines and Construction incl. SiteReps and

Construction NAM discipline.

Initiate / Decide on/Execute changes in case required as per GLT-Plus management system.

Do regularly checks per discipline on Construction work package to ensure red/blue (as built) input on all relevant documents, including assistants checks.

Monitoring of all issued TQ’s, FEI’s and site related ECR’s and NCR’s.

Coordination Engineering Construction + NAM SiteRep to communication scheme.

Support execution construction.

The FEC shall be appointed who shall be overall responsible for the actual approval of all proposed

(multi-disciplinary) changes, to avoid nice to have actions and unnecessary delay in construction planning.

The appointed FEC will discuss all forwarded changes with the applicable disciplines to ensure that the

initiated change is mandatory and that all disciplines are aware of the required input expected from their discipline.

Furthermore the FEC will ensure that all major changes which have cost or schedule impackt are communicated with the PM of the respective scope.

to assure that changes made to the final RFC issued discipline documents are marked up as indicated on the applicable TQ’s / FEI’s.

Interaction with NAM concerning design changes can only take place via the FEC.

Responsible for assisting in review of detailed design documentation where required in conjunction with the relevant Field Engineers with particular emphasis on E&I/Civil/Mechanical/Piping technical issues.
