Cleveland Public Library – Cleveland, TN (April 2004 – July 2006)

Title: IT Director

Managed and maintained the library’s large network. The network consisted of over 120 computers and was spread out across town to four buildings. The network was also connected to the local University.

Purchased equipment and installed into the network. Computers had to have a ghost image installed on them with new OS and security. Older equipment was moved around and the oldest was repaired and eventually sold.

Network also consisted of three servers. Email server ran Microsoft Exchange and allowed the library staff to communicate efficiently and effectively across the internal and external network. Security and profiles were rolled out from the security server. Data server provided a safe place for the library staff to store all their important documentation.

Provided training classes for library staff and patrons. Taught two to three classes per week. Most of the classes included: Basic Computing, Email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Answered questions and fixed problems for patrons while using the library computers.
