STCMS Electric Company 250MW LFPP

Power plant consists of total installed capacity of 250 MW Boiler, Turbine

& Generator.

Reporting to Chief Manager/ DGM (Operations)

Responsibility: Shift Engineer (Operations)

Period : Sep 2002-Till Date

. Responsible for the Operation of Unit Control Board (UCB-Control Room)

and having experience in the Boiler, Turbine and Generator operations

.Control system used for operation: Distributed Control System (DCS) -

Pro control-P.

. Authorized to Issue of work permit on high voltage system up to 230 KV

and normalizing the system.

. Involved in operation management as a team player & training the newly

joined engineers. Prepare the training programs and reports along with

schedules & postings.

. Responsible for startup and shutdown of units. Co-coordinating in

testing and re commissioning the plant equipments while the units

under shutdown for annual and capital overhauling.

MAIN BOILER :

. 100% TMCR 250MW Lignite Fired Benson type Balance Draft Tower type

Once through Steam generator, 735 t/hr 183 bar/ 540 deg. C.

. Re heater with suitable auxiliaries of Boiler Feed Pumps 438. m3/hr

head 2746x3; feed water preheating system of H.P. and L.P. Heaters.

TURBINE :

. Three Cylinder single reheat double casing tandem compounded

condensing type reaction turbine with HP & LP bypass system

. The Generator is Non Solvent two pole Hydrogen cooled type with

static excitation system.

D.M. PLANT :

. Demineralization & ultra filter 43m3/hr x 2 nos. Net output per cycle

Single unit 400m3 Condensate polishing plant unit 300m3/hr x 3 nos.

ASH HANDLING PLANT :

. Pressurized density Fly Ash Conveying system and Wet Ash system

operation through DCS

LIGNITE HANDLING PLANT :

. 600 t/hr speed 3m/sec., 2 set of Conveyor and its Auxiliaries

AUXILIARY BOILER :

. 64 t/hr 15.8 kg / cm2 - 265 deg c. Package bottom supported bidrum

forced draught Boiler Operation through DCS

BALANCE OF POWER PLANT :

. Raw water, Main Cooling water, Chlorination Plant, Borewells and

service water system and Clarifier and Common monitoring basin.

Experience as Operation and Maintenance Engineer

. Operation and Maintenance of 12 MW Power Plant equipment and

machineries it includes 70 t/hr of steam 480 deg. C. and 66 kg / cm2

High Pressure Boiler with suitable auxiliaries operation through

distributed control system with the automation of boiler is executed.

. Operation and Maintenance of PLC based hydraulically operated power

pack equipped fuel handling system.

. Operation and Maintenance of Frame 13 bleed cum condensing Turbine

with its auxillaries (ejectors, surface condensers,oil coolers oil

filters)

. Operation and Maintenance of 1500 kva Diesel Generator for starting

the Power Plant, Maintenance of gear box, Pumps, Air compressors

Valves and Pipe line fabrication works.

. Operation and Maintenance of 35 t/h x 2 Boilers .steam temp 410 deg c

/ 42 kg / cm2 operation through 720 micro process controllers with

suitable auxiliaries, Air Compressors and Coal Handling systems etc.,

. 3 mw x 2 - Back pressure Turbine, Turbo Feed Pump.

Experience in Erection and Fabrication

. Erection and commissioning of semi kastiner (2500 tons/day)

. Structurals of sugar boiling plant

. Fabrication and erection of molasses tanks

. Pipelines of distillery unit.

. Sugarcane un loader erection

ISO & OHSAS Activities:

. Task force member for ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001

. Internal Auditor for OSHAS & ISO
