*** Very long term project; initial PO for 6 months with extensions ***Webcam Interview*** Partial Remote; candidate can work with the manager to work remotely ***

Serve as CommVaults Simpana Backup Administrator to provide the following duties:

Monitor and resolve backup issues.

Monitor ITSM tool (BMC Remedy) for tickets and requests. Updating backup schedules, monitoring and responding to failed backup instances

Work with Legal and Compliance on requests for e-Discovery and executing on legal holds

Execute on file restore requests

Assist in determining probable cause of issues and work with other support teams to resolve those issues

Managing and configuring Client-Side deduplication in CommVaults Simpana version 11

Managing and configuring VSA virtual backups in CommVaults Simpana version 11

Troubleshooting backup/restore issues for Windows file servers, database clusters, and application servers

Troubleshooting and configuring backups/restores for O365 and Exchange/Outlook mailboxes

Troubleshooting SAN and NAS backup/restore issues

Skills

Five (5) years experience in a Backup Administrator or Server Support role

A Masters degree substitutes for three years of experience, or a Bachelors degree substitutes for two years, or an Associates degree substitutes for one year

Three (3) engagements lasting more than six (6) months in a Backup Administrator or in Server Support role supporting CommVaults Simpana Backup software version 11 experience

Desired Skills

Engineering and designing backups and DR in a large scale, multi-site environment of greater than 1 PB of data

Experience with VMware Esxi 6.5 and VCenter

Experience with daily reporting in CommVault that goes beyond basic reporting

Managing and troubleshooting CommVault group firewall permissions

Managing and configuring aux copies including deduplication DASH copies in CommVault version 11

Rudimentary understanding and troubleshooting of a version 11 Compliance Archive

Experience configuring and managing CommVault scheduling using CommVault groups

Certified in CommVault software

Experience with cloud implementation of backups

Experience with Legal Holds, Compliance Searches, and electronic Discovery (e-Discovery) data backup software
