Job Description

As a Delivery Architect you will be the technical architect of an agile development team dedicated to the development and delivery of solutions for the client dealers. Specifically working within the product repair and diagnostic toolset including ServiceADVISOR(TM). In this role you will:

Participate in the development of high quality products utilizing Agile and XP principles

Create architectural design documentation

Work with business stakeholders, development teams to reach agreement on the requirements

Apply information analysis to assist in the effective integration of data to create business solutions

Participate in creation of project plans and schedule to meet business requirements

Review code and technical designs of other team members

Investigate/root cause production defects

Participate in pair programming, code katas, tech leveling, and other development activities

Work within and help establish guidelines such as coding standards, workflow, and/or tool standards

Drive team technical standards and processes

Provide technical leadership and support to the on-boarding and integration of external Partners and Suppli

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Bachelors of Arts/Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field

2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a passion to solve problems and work in a team environment

3. 7+ years of experience with web software development

4. 7+ years of experience Java development experience

5. Experience with applications development environment, database, data administration and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

6. Understanding of service oriented architecture

7. Experience working with Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Test Automation

8. Experience with Agile development process

9. Proven experience designing large scale applications

10. Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and communicating those solutions to one or more development teams

11. Ability to travel up to 25% both domestic and international

12. Demonstrated ability to lead the technical direction of a team and to influence without direct authority - Preferred

13. Experience working with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Progressive Enhancement, Responsive Design - Preferred

14. Experience designing and developing embedded systems (C++) - Preferred

15. Experience with Java/J2EE programming/software/server side development - Preferred

16. Experience working with REST web services, Spring, Maven, Hibernate, IntelliJ or RAD/Eclipse IDE - Preferred

17. Experience working with Amazon Web Services platform technologies; Kinesis, RDS, EC2/ECS, S3, SQS, EMR, etc. - Preferred

18. Experience with infrastructure as code - Preferred

19. Demonstrated ability to work with complex applications requiring high performance and scalability - Preferred

20. Experience working with offshore development teams - Preferred
