Core Competencies
• Control System Design • Design of Experiments • Analysis of Static Equilibrium
• Analytical Dynamics • Design for Manufacturing and Assembly • Engineering Properties of Polymer
• Polymer Processing • Thermal Science Components • Mechanical Part Design
Work Experience - 1
Auburn Science and Engineering Laboratory, The University of Akron, Akron, OH. Feb 2009 – Dec 2009
Research was focused on improving the design of a pre-existing inside tapering technique (sliced edge) to enhance its tensile properties.
Involved in setting up of the testing parameters, mechanical testing (tensile testing), finite element modeling (ALGOR), design of experiments and data analysis
Work Experience - 2
Sidney L. Olson Research Center/Graco, The University of Akron, Akron/Macedonia, OH. Nov 2007 – Dec 2008
Worked with a team of graduate students/senior Engineers in designing and evaluating different properties of LDPE material.
Able to demonstrate good problem solving skills and excellent knowledge in improving the materials Mechanical and Thermal properties.
Individually led material testing to meet project timelines.
Assist senior researchers with lab equipment (twin-screw extruders, injection molding, capillary and cone and plate rheometers)
Project Experience
Torsion Spring: Designed torsion and extension springs for a garage door opener by evaluating its mechanical properties, thus reducing the risk of failure.
Heat Transfer: Using Matlab designed a 3-D representation of a water tank to assess its heat transportation through conduction, convection, and radiation.
CAD: Designed and studied rolling-element bearing using Solidworks where it’s mechanical properties such as load, friction, and motions where evaluated.
Extrusion and Injection Molding: Researched Injection molding, Extrusion molding, and Rheometers to develop a better understating of polymer composites and its rheological properties
