Working part time as a Mobile Patrol Security Guard (Saturdays and Sundays) checking the interior and exterior of the nine (9) Vanguard Buildings. My responsibilities include ensuring all crew members who enter these building have the proper Identification Badge and to be aware of any previous fire employee who is no longer granted access, checking any outside contractors, painters, cleaning crew members that does not have the proper identification badge but is on the work schedule list for the weekend, check cubical to ensure all Laptops are secure to the locking device on their desk top, check for glass break and investigate any trigger alarm sounding and reset alarm, check ceiling for any leaks due to storm or air conditioner malfunctioning, check all Gallery Freezer Temperature for correct reading, check all Fire Escape Exits for smoke as well as making sure the stairwell lights are well lit and keep all exit doors close for fire safety, checking the Pantry or Break rooms to ensure that the Coffee Pot is not burning from being left on to long as well as turning off any water faucet left running. Check exterior grounds for anyone wondering around, any unauthorized vehicles parked in lot, doors not locked or being held open.

Perform a variety of moderate to complex clerical functions to facilitate the efficient and effective operations in the Troop K, Administrative Office. My responsibilities included general secretarial work, such as typing and filing. Additionally, I critique and prepared numerous documents specifically designed and required by the Pennsylvania State Police.

I was the main Timekeeper (Payroll) for Troop K, Philadelphia Headquarters and was responsible for checking all of the coding for overtime entries in our “SAP System” on a weekly basis, correcting errors from the A3 Error Report (which is retrieved from the SAP System after a pay period has ended). I attended to problem solving of the Civilians and Trooper’s overtime hours, wrong shift, and leave usage.

Compiled all of Troop K’s Philadelphia, Media, and Skippack Station’s Bi-Weekly overtime information (from an Excel program I had to create) into one complete Overtime Report, which goes to the Commanding Officer (Captain) of Troop K, Philadelphia.

Usage of our Postal machine for sending out the U. S. Mail as well as preparing our Sub-stations and Departmental Mail on-Line for pick up from the United Parcel Service (UPS).

I was one of two (2) Timekeepers that participated in the Pennsylvania State Police National Governor’s Association. My responsibility entailed coding all overtime entries hours from the Pennsylvania State Police, New Jersey State Police, New York State Police, Philadelphia City Police, Delaware and Montgomery County Sheriffs Office, and other State Agencies that were involved in this detail. I worked twelve (12) hour shifts.
