Although I have extensive experience in the Transportation industry, I love to learn, and am always up to a challenge whatever the situation. I worked as a Dispatcher/Supervisor for four and a half years with the City of Boston, MA.

I was responsible for the safe and timely operation of school buses, drivers, and students.

Communicated through a two-way radio, answered and made telephone calls, use the computer, and other office equipment.

Logged all activities of the day such as incidents, accidents, emergencies, and non-emergencies.

Followed up on incidents reports, late to school reports, and complaints.

Report to the Transportation Department and schools.

Handling emergency and non-emergency situations.

Overseeing work done by others under my supervision.

• Have a thorough working knowledge of Grid sheets, and citywide reports to assist in route coverage, field trips and other situations that arise.

• Maintain all school calendars and assure that all drivers are aware of any changes that may occur during the school year and assure coverage of all routes that have conflicting reports. IE: Early dismissal, in-service days, etc.

• Maintain dispatch logs and visual boards, to assure communication among fellow staff members.

• Maintain accident, incident, road call, customer request forms and all other logs and forms necessary to document events.

• Coordinate vehicle maintenance with the service managers, schedule pick up and return delivery of vehicles to various areas.

• Assist the Contract Manager in developing and scheduling of routes, route changes and placement of new stops.

• Prepare work to ensure a transition to the afternoon operational staff. Maintaining communication between morning and afternoon dispatch.

• Work with drivers to review additional stops and work, making sure they understand the times and directions associated with changes.

• Assist Contract Manager in researching any incident that may occur by reviewing logs or producing forms, retrieving statements that are necessary for documentation purposes.
