National and International Awards and Honours:

CBSE Teachers Award for the year 2017-18 from the Honourable HRD Minister for State, Shri. Upendra Kushwaha for innovations in classroom teaching on 6 September 2018 at New Delhi. I am the sole recipient of this award from Tamil Nadu and one of the 37 teachers selected for this award from all over India and other countries. The selection was based on academic efficiency and improvement, interest, reputation in the community, perseverance and commitment towards education.

Rotary International Award, Rotarian Spouse/ Partner Service Award 2016-17 bestowed upon me for my commendable Humanitarian Services through Rotary. Only fifty individuals from all over the world were selected to receive this prestigious award for the year 2016-17.

Letters of appreciation from the HRD Ministry for excellence in teaching and extraordinary results during the academic years of 2013-14 and 2015-16.

I regularly train my students in Elocution, Debate, Just a Minute, Skit and Speech competitions. My students have been winning these competitions regularly.

I have encouraged my students to participate in Lake Cleaning Campaigns in Kodaikanal to instill in them the importance of Cleanliness of one’s surroundings.

I have organized personality development workshops for students

I helped in organizing several career guidance programs and motivational talks for the students for the students.

I have trained my students in acting for School Annual Day, Sports Day, National Festivals and other State-level Skit Competitions.

I have helped my school in organizing school inspections every year and also board practical for Class 12 students.

I have conducted cookery classes and poster making competitions for my students to improve their culinary and drawing skills.

Community Services-Rotary Activities

I am a member of the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal since 2017 and I am actively involved in social work especially for the upliftment of the underprivileged women and children in and around Kodaikanal.

Received letters of appreciation from the Past District Governors of Rotary International District 3000, Rtn. Muruganandam and Rtn. Sam Babu for outstanding Community Services for the year 2016-17.

I am the Chief Editor of the District 3000 Governor’s Monthly Letter for the Rotary year 2022-23.

I was the Chief Editor of the monthly News Bulletin of the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal for the year 2016-17.

Contributed towards the solar power project to the remote inaccessible tribal village of Vallankulam.

I participate in the Blood Donation Campaign organized by the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal every year and encourage my students, teachers, friends and acquaintances to participate in the same.

I was also instrumental in organizing Leadership Development programs, RYLA ( Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), Mega Inter-school competitions and Lakathon conducted by the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal

I motivated Rotarians and others to sponsor the education of a hundred underprivileged children by the Club under RILM’s Asha Kiran Scheme.

I played a major role in felicitating 28 Educators from over 13 countries across the globe on the occasion 50th International Literacy day.

I helped in conducting a mega signature campaign to spread awareness in the local community of Kodaikanal about educating the girl child and also about Child Abuse

I played a significant role in organizing a Women’s Empowerment program conducted at Mother Teresa Women’s University by Rotary Club of Kodaikanal.

I was also instrumental in conducting Master Training Program for school teachers under Rotary’s TEACH initiative on 8 July 2016.

I played a major role in the selection of 25 Government School Teachers and honoring them with the Nation Builder Award under RILM (Rotary India Literacy Mission).

I have also organized Workshops for teachers in Kodaikanal.

Member of the Soroptimist International Women’s Club, Kodaikanal and was involved in a lot of social work and charity.

Currently I am a Member of the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal, and am involved in several projects carried out by the club.
