Work Experience

Banking Specialist I

TD Bank - Greenville, SC

January 2020 to Present

• I assist customers and provide them with legendary experience. I help with certain technical issues e.g. setting up accounts, online banking, fraudulent claims, and finding the best product to fit the customer. Even though I love assisting with those particular issues, my favorite part of my job is being able to be myself and connect and establish secure and long lasting relationships. Even if my customer isn't having a good day, my goal at the end of the day is to deliver the best customer service experience. That's where I shine through with empathy, compassion, and being able to relate to the client. I'm not shy or timid as far as icebreakers are concerned. I realize that I have this customer's personal information in front of me and it's my job to reassure my client that I'm here to help and not judge. I'm human and we are here for them. Patience is another quality and being able to actively listen to the customer, while simultaneously getting a plan ready to execute. What I love about this career the most is that I can bring my full self to the table. I'm not reading from a script. Every interaction is truly genuine and my customers can tell the difference.

Sales Representative

Utility Partners of America - Greenville, SC

February 2019 to January 2020

1. I sell home warranties to Duke Energy customers. I have to be able to create the need in order for the customer to buy. I also have to maintain a count of 250 dials per shift. If sale is made, I have to document it on my spreadsheet and enroll the customer in the plan. Make sure I disposition the call correctly and maintain a total of 18 sales per day. Have to be courteous an understanding but still rebut the customers. And be sure that I am professional at all times. Even under strenuous circumstances I still have to maintain a professional attitude.

Assembler

Randstad - Orangeburg, SC

October 2018 to January 2019

I make and assemble drain pans for air conditioning units. Caregiver/Personal Assistant

An Angel's touch - Moncks Corner, SC

December 2017 to October 2018

I operated under pc2 and companion capacity. Administered medications, ran errands and performed daily household chores for client according to the client's needs. Meal preparation was also a big part of my job description. Being able to prepare balanced healthy meals for client that were delicious but based on client's dietary needs.

Collection Specialist

iQor - Charleston, SC

October 2015 to November 2016

We were contracted through Capital One credit cards. I was responsible for reaching out to customers who were past due to see what happened and what we can do to help get them back on the right track. Working in collections you have to wear several different hats every day. You have to show an exercise empathy and try to strategize a way to get the customer back current. Again another one of my strong suits is being able to connect with my customer and relate to them and let them know that they are not alone and we're here to help. You never know what a customer may have gone through from their last payment up until now so it's up to us to keep track of their situation and help them the best way we know how. I always begin with all of positive aspects of the account. I would start off by saying, I see that you've been with us for over 5 years now and we really appreciate you being a part of the Capital One family. You've always paid your bills on time up until recently. So was there a change in your circumstances that prevented you from paying on time? And it goes from there. I fine the best payment plan that is affordable but also helps the customer get caught up. Sometimes we're even able to offer certain programs that the customer may not know that they were eligible for and they are very grateful for the effort and time that we invest showing that we care but also achieving the objective goal which is collection. But not only collecting the funds but we also want to help and educate the customer and prevent this from being a reoccurring situation.

Dietary Aide/Cook

Encompass Health Rehab Hosp of Henderson (Formerly Healthsouth Rehab Hosp) - Charleston, SC November 2014 to September 2015

Initially, I started as a dietary aide assisting with setting up and delivering patients meal trays to their rooms. At first it doesn't sound complicated, but with this job you have to pay attention to detail. If you were to give the wrong patient the wrong food it is a matter of life and death or even the wrong type of drink can be detrimental. As I grew in my role as a dietary aid, my supervisors also knew that I was cross trained and would fill in from time to time for a cook when they needed time off. I eventually wanted to expand or grow with the company and I applied for the cooking position that became open and my supervisors were happy to promote me to that position. By that time I had already gained the knowledge of the types of dysphagia e.g. mechanical, chopped, ground and puree. I also learned the different types of diets from renal, cardiac, diabetic, regular to Npo, and what they could and could not have as a patient. I take pride in whatever I do and was able to run that kitchen by myself better than some veterans who's been there 10 + years ahead of me. I love that role because it allowed me to show a different passion that I am great at, which is cooking. I also learned a lot about nutrition and dietary needs that I never knew before. I was also able to interact with my patients which was the highlight of my day and sometimes the only interaction that the patient will see while they're at the facility. I take pride in customer service and customer interaction. I treat them as if they were my own family in that hospital bed and we act as if we known each other for years. Truly a rewarding job. Especially seeing the progress of a patient who couldn't walk or feed themselves arriving to the facility but they're able to walk out and sometimes dance.

US Army Soldier

U.S. Army - Fort Campbell, KY

March 2008 to October 2009

I was a US soldier in the United States army. My MOS ( job ) was 92 g ( cook ). I was responsible and part of a team that fed our battalion meals throughout the day. We fed over 1200 soldiers a day per meal with a small shift of 18 soldiers per shift. Even though we were the first ones in the DFAC and a lot of times the last ones out, we were still required to maintain and execute PT on a daily basis, qualify on our weapon twice a year. We were still required to participate in company details and functions and still had to make weight every 6 months. I honestly can say that it was a great pleasure serving in the United States armed services. It was an opportunity not only to travel but to meet new and different people and experience different cultures. Being in the military showed me a lot about myself that I didn't even know I had. It brought out the best of me by breaking me down first. It taught me discipline and morals and integrity and honor. Truly the best experience in my life. Education
