Engineer, Control Center in Lombard, IL

Responsible for designing and implementing a Scheduling Manager for ORMET, an Aluminum producer in Ohio. The Scheduling Manager, part of an Interchange Transaction System, involved a 24x7 function that manages power supplied to ORMET by a plurality of utility companies.

Responsible for developing and implementing a "Snapshot" Application Interface in the Field Interface Gateway (FIG) environment.

Designed, with EMS Contingency Team, a Generation Control Process to communicate data between the Energy Management System and the Power Generation Units utilizing the Field Interface Gateway (FIG) environment. A robust FIG Master Station was subsequently implemented that included automatic FailOver from Master Units to BackUp units.

Responsible for coordinating, tracking and documenting Y2K compliance progress by a team of

analysts of all EMS functions.

Responsible for ComEd's "Weather for Windows", a 7X24 function. Weather Data ingested from satellites at the Bulk Power Operations (BPO) was distributed on a real time basis to servers throughout ComEd.
