Current Job Description:
I currently work as a Consultant in Rainbow Children Hospital, (Tertiary care centre) in Paediatrics and Neonatology. My job details are-
Clinical –
●I work in paediatrics department as a team member of 10 doctors working in 60 bedded hospital with 80 to 100 % occupancy in 1 in 4 rota pattern.
●On call commitments for out of hours were 7 per month where I worked with direct, indirect or distant supervision in day or night shift pattern.
●Various specialty of patients admitted are respiratory, infectious disease, cardiac, surgical etc. I independently manage NICU and PICU.
●I our hospital has the following facility
o20 bedded NICU
oAdvanced Ventilators
oTransport Incubators
oFacility for Exchange Transfusion
oIntra-arterial BP monitoring
●I have experience in carrying out procedure under ultra-sonography for invasive procedures like arterial lines, central venous pressure lines,, inter coastal chest tube, ascetic tap, pleural tap, intubations, Peripheral inserted central catheter (PICC) lines insertions, Umbilical vein catheterization, Exchange transfusion, basic echocardiography.
●I attend labour calls independently and can also transport critical paediatric & neonates patients.
●To be present in daily rounds of the unit and contribute in decision making in patient management.
●I have experience in Teaching / supervising junior doctors for procedures and management of cases.
●I Attend cardiac/ respiratory arrest calls as an airway trained person.(Being a certified NALS & PALS
●My other work domain includes Transport of patient from our specialty centre to other for definitive management like, cardiac surgery, .
