Design and analysis of independent suspension system for heavy vehicle (02/2020 - 02/2020)
Suspension system is the one of the important system in vehicle. It supports the weight of the vehicle and provides the smooth ride The objective of suspension system is to provide good ride and handling performance In this paper we have designed and analyzed the a-arm, spring and whole assembly of the suspension system. We can model with CATIA V5 and analysis by the way of ansys 12.0 Which device used to improve suspension system capabilities and to extend the performance envelope of high performance road cars, racing and heavy vehicles. Double wishbone suspension allows each wheel to act and react independently from the others. It achieves this thanks to two wishbone- shaped arms (also known as control arms or double A-arms) that are located between the knuckle on the wheel assembly and the car’s chassis The upper and lower control arms have ball jointon both ends to allow movement in multiple directions. Vertical movement is controlled through the shock absorber and coil spring which are mounted on the wishbones
