Extreme Engineering 24-hour Challenge:

Selected among hundreds of top ranked applicants around the nation to compete in the 2020 SHPE Extreme Engineering challenge, the qualification process consisted of critical thinking, problem solving, and engineering questions with a resume review. A variety of challenges were given to us during the 24-hour event, extreme problem solving in a very condensed schedule. Being assigned the role of lead designer and project manager I designed a virtual reality device that would give people a detailed image of how their new home would look like before it is built.

As well as designing our own city implementing our design, with an animation and making it better than our competitors, by making our city design a place where investors and companies would want to move in by setting everything from laws, energy sectors, transportation, emergency plans and everything that a city needs to have, staying in our 15 billion dollar budget, along giving several timed presentations and debates with other teams.

Gaining so much experience from this memorable event, I learned how to work in intense tight schedules, teamwork, accomplishing goals regardless of what you encounter and so much more that I can apply in my future job.

Currently managing my entire Senior Design team, designing, building, and testing a prototype device that safely moves heavy loads in the cockpit of the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, while technicians perform work on the plane. The project met Boeings safety requirements and it will serve as a great foundation to be improved upon within Boeing.

In charge of designing and fabricating the device to stay within the budget given and selecting the best materials for the project, also conducted a risk analysis

The device will save the company time and money by reducing the time mechanics spend on carrying loads 2/5/2020-12/1/2020 Gear Box Design

Designed a Gear Box that would take in 1 horsepower and output 1200 RPM. Sketched everything in SOLIDWORKS and ran simulations on it, ran the gear calculations in Excel and MATLAB to select the right gears for the project for it to input and output what was needed.

Performed a Shear Moment Diagram of the shafts and gears to identify the max stress and moment locations. Also ran all the mathematical calculations to ensure it met the safety factor required. The project was later presented to the professor and was approved. 9/9/2019-12/4/2019 CNC Programming Project

Programmed the code for the machine to fabricate a piece of wood with my schools logo along with my major on it, the design had different depths and lengths, making the project as economical and efficient as possible 9/7/2017-11/30/2017 SOLIDWORKS Project

Designed an automobile as a group of 4 each doing 25 parts. Taking the role of Lead Designer my assigned task was to assemble the entire 100-part project and keeping track of each part to ensure the dimensions and tolerances were complementary to each other to make the assembly possible and run an animation of it performing.
