Re: Senior Designer -DSW (Designer Brands, Inc.)

Dear HR team,

This position encompasses exactly my role and functions as a senior designer at Payless

(formerly Payless Shoe Source). Though my backround began as an athletic footwear designer, I am very versatile across categories of footwear: womens, mens, children, dress, casual, athletic and lifestyle. I have worked as a designer for big brands such as New Balance, Puma, as well as a designer for an agent that sources products for many retailers such as Payless, Sears, JC Penney, and also as a full-time designer for Payless. This has given me valuable eperience as an in-house designer for a major retailer such as DSW. I know the role well. Here’s some highlights of myself:

-Keen understanding of “Main Street” big retailer markets, as well as upscale fashion retailers.

-Fashion and trend forecasting in multiple types of footwear for upcoming seasons, providing color palettes, and utilization of trend forecasting services such as WGSN.

-Presentation and storytelling to merchandising & marketing teams, licensors, and buyers.

-Excellent cad and presentation skills.

-Tech packs, prototypes, outsoles, materials, and understanding of all types of footwear construction, and tting.

-Overseas travel to factories in Shenzhen, Houjie (Dongguan), Guangzhou, Quanzhou. I am able to provide references upon request. You can view my portfolio at https://jerrybeauchesne.crevado.com/footwear-design Thanks, and sincerely,

Jerry Beauchesne
