•Performed calibration of gauges, test method validation, Gage R&R and completed IQ/OQ/PQ with PPK as high as 4.1

•Validated new suppliers with inline testing, performed off-line testing on supplier components/final product on Instron force tower, Flex Bar and Snap imaging systems

•Created Excel macros for automating daily tasks saving 7 minutes/run, 3D printed parts to increase operator efficiencies and reduce human effort

•Created PM, MI, spare parts list and multiple procedures for efficient machine operation

•Experience with medical device manufacturing compliant to FDA 21 CFR820 and ISO 9001, ISO 13485

Cummins – Seymour, Indiana June 2018-December 2018

Thermal/Performance Engineer

•Worked as Combustion and Performance and Emissions Engineer for the Current Product for 19L to 78L engines

•Supported test cells in qualifying new engine ratings for the customer

•Qualified a new vendor by leading a part transparency test by doing an emissions cycle test, data quality checks, engine troubleshooting

•Worked on release of multiple engine ratings, heat release calculation for cooling system design, altitude predictions and ECU modifications

•Supported production issues by verifying compression ratio, pump flow, checking part design dimensions

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Contribution of Contact Line Heat Transfer in Oscillating Water Meniscus– Master’s Thesis July 2018-December 2019

Research Assistant - Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY

•Developed a MATLAB code using imaging and interferometry to calculate thin film velocity, dynamic film contact angle as a function of surface temperature

•Used High-power Keyence microscope, Class 3B Laser, Goniometer, Keyence high speed cameras, Laser confocal for the measurements and DAQs for acquisition of the data

•Programmed a MATLAB code using imaging and interferometry to calculate thin film velocity, dynamic film contact angle as a function of surface temperature

•Designed a new system for a 0.5 mm high oscillating meniscus with – stepper motor, Arduino, and L23D controller

Root Cause Analysis of Kill Switch Plug (KSP) at Insulet October, 2019

•Vendor change for a single part caused the scrap rate to jump to 21% from 6% and needed immediate action

•Successfully lead the RCA using fish bone diagram thus eliminating factors by isolating them, comparing under KEYENCE microscope for different mold cavities

•Old and new KSPs were observed under a powerful microscope; found a change in shape between vendors that led to KSP not sitting flush to the chassis (0.01mm extra proud)

•Changed the process limit to accommodate the change by verifying the downstream manufacturing line

PLC – RSLogix5k November, 2017

•Experience with PLC controller and programming ladder logic; Programmed an automated washing system with multiple

cycle and integrated PID controller, sensors, switch as actuators

SAE BAJA India August 2015- February 2016

•Designed the braking system of the vehicle; Used an ‘H-Type’ connection for the disc brakes

•Designed a brake adapter plate to fit the calipers and simulated the forces in ANSYS to calculate safety factor
