MAJOR PROJECT:

TITLE:

Experimental study on Partial replacement of fine aggregate (sand) by copper slag in Blended Cement Concrete.

Objective:

Main aim of our project is to find a proper use of industrial waste (copper slag) in the Construction. In this experimental study copper slag is used as partial replacement of fine aggregate in Blended Cement Concrete.

Result:

As the percentage of Copper Slag in concrete mix increases, the workability of fresh concrete and density of harden concrete is increased.

As per Experimental study we got Maximum compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength for 30% replacement of fine aggregate by copper slag.

NDT ( NON-DESTRCUTIVE TESTING ) ON CONCRETE SAMPLES

Rebound hammer test revealed the uniformity of concrete and their compressive strength at 30 to 40 % replacement level.

Ultrasonic pulse velocity test indicated the excellent quality of concrete at 30% replacement level.

The construction industry is the only area for safe use of waste materials, which reduces the environmental problems, space problems and cost of construction.
