Work details:

Implementation and monitoring of large scale tree based farming system (Wadi), watershed development, Agroforestry, community enterprise development and value addition products in Karnataka supported by Nabard, SIDA and Govt of Karnataka.

Established nine farmer’s producer companies in Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra under Small Farmers Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC) initiative. Preparation and implementation of their business plan for Agri commodities.

Broad understanding of women’s rights and gender justice. Worked very closely with women’s self help groups and Women farmers Producers companies in different states of India.

Limited expertise on climate change adaptation issues that have an impact on the people and wildlife in priority ecosystems and landscapes. More exposed to climate change mitigation and coping mechanism in the farming ecosystem.

Promotion of livelihood development enterprise for the small and marginal farmers in AP, Karnataka, MH and TN. Planning and field execution. Coordination and guidance to large field teams. Setting up field offices and establishment of management systems.

Worked as State Coordinator and Subject Matter Specialist for setting up Farmers Producer Organisation (FPO) in Sikkim under NERLP (World Bank funded project). Undertook business planning and marketing of vegetables in South and West Sikkim. Worked in close coordination with the District project management team.

Established around 3000 acres of commercial hardwood plantations (Teak, Casurina and Eucalyptus) in Andhra, Tamilnadu and Odisha. Large scale field staff and labour management.

Carried out Impact assessment studies on MGNREGA on watershed based approach in Maharashtra for ITC.

Impact assessment and evaluation studies for Nabard watershed and Community based institutions in drought prone regions of Andhra Pradesh by AFPRO.

Designing and implementation of Microfinance based livelihood generation programme for women in five districts in Karnataka in collaboration with State Bank of Mysore and SBI. Prepared the operational guidelines and institutional framework for grounding the project.

Setting up livestock based income generation enterprises and livelihood support to women entrepreneurs in Karnataka by BAIF.
