JOB PROFILE

Administer the Project Safety Plan with the Project Manager and render technical assistance related to safety throughout all phases of the project.

Review the project Safety Plan with the Project Execution team to re-affirm its adequacy and applicability to the specific tasks and its conformity to the client’s requirements.

Preparation of Project safety plan, Hazard identification plan and Job Safety Analysis, for new projects.

To provide a day-to-day HSE management service to the Engineering and Construction department that is effective and suitable to support company objectives.

As required, take the lead and contribute proactively to areas of the HSE team’s development of HSE systems including production of guidance notes, forms, templates and good practice guides.

Ensuring the implementation of HSE Management system and procedures accordingly to the nature of different Construction activities for safe execution of the project.

Lead and participate in major investigations of incidents and accidents.

Develop, implement, monitor and review the company's annual HSE targets.

Contribute to the management meetings on HSE developments, performance, improvements and

recommendations.

Work with departmental heads / project managers to protect the health and safety of all staff

members by ensuring that risks in the workplace are properly controlled, and that impacts on the

environments are minimized.

Develop and monitor effective risk assessment strategies and make recommendations on the

implementation of these strategies.

Liaise with local and federal HSE departments to ensure company HSE policies, practices and procedures

meet their requirements.

Identify opportunities for continuous environmental improvement and sustainability and implement

programs to deliver these opportunities.

Plan and carryout HSE audits and ensure that any remedial recommendations implemented in the

appropriate manner.

Hazardous task procedure and monitor such activities for effective compliance.

Prepare reports for senior management on all matters related to HSE and respond to requests for

HSE advice / guidance / information where appropriate.

Ensure that all HSE records, statistics and data are accurately collected and reported on

a timely basis; analyze trends in HSE statistics and take remedial action(s) where necessary to ensure, at minimum, legal compliance and reduce risk of non-compliance.

Plan & Lead the Investigation of all accidents and near-misses, prepare report of findings, including recommendations to prevent recurrence and implement approved course of action; where necessary submit reports to the enforcing authority as required by the local law.

Ensure all First Aiders are competent and appropriately trained, and provide training for more staff to enable them to help in emergency cases.

Provide, or where necessary source, training for staff in relation to Health and Safety policies, practice and procedures.

Develop and execute a HSE plan to include the activities that support visible HSE leadership

such as safety inspection tours for all areas, identify potential hazards & recommended solutions, audits, personal interaction and participation in daily toolbox meetings.

Initiate hazard reports during routinely inspection and provide official copies to concerned site supervisor for immediate rectifications.
