Professional Experience

SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (SPDC)[a ROYAL DUTCH SHELL company]– Nigeria

Production Geologist – Field Development and Execution, Studies team (FD&E) – March 2016 to June 2018

Geologist for 5 projects going through project maturation process and carried out a post drill evaluation for a brown field.

Key Results:

Successfully completed the study and secured funding for the execution of the projects which includes drilling new wells, workover wells, and carrying out rigless activities such as water shut-off and reperforation to arrest production decline for already developed field.

Production Geologist - Wells, Reservoir & Facility Management (WRFM) – March 2012 to February 2015

Lead Geologist for an advanced Well & Reservoir Surveillance team accountable for 8.5 Billion barrels of in-place volumes, 13 producing fields, 10 flow stations and 185Mbopd production in the Eastern Land/Swamp Asset. Providing geology inputs to continuous production optimization and maximizing lifecycle value of mature assets by creating a systematic understanding of wells, reservoirs and facilities via integrated structured reviews, advanced surveillance mapping, WRFM planning/execution, strategic data acquisition, complex opportunity identification, advanced integrated modeling, detailed performance analysis etc.

Key Results:

Improved the WRFM process in Nembe Creek field & seven other fields to surpass the Shell Group WRFM Minimum Standards – a comprehensive 168-point assessment of the WRFM Process implementation in each field.

Consistently delivered production targets in Nembe Creek and Imo River Node while satisfying stringent gas flaring (i.e. GOR) and reservoir pressure management constraints ahead of Water Injection and AG gathering facility execution.

Development Geologist – Sub-surface Resource Management (SRM) – March 2011 to February 2012

Geologist in the Sub-surface Resource Management team accountable for the compliant evaluation & reporting of the reserves portfolio in 4 fields in the Eastern Swamp Asset. Providing reserves assurance via technically auditable volumetric and performance-based methods - using reservoir analogues, static volumetric analysis, decline curve analysis, Numerical simulation/forecasting, assessing volumetric uncertainties, demonstrating reasonable certainty, quantifying reasons for changes etc. Providing input to economic limit analysis.

Key Results:

Delivered the SPDC Eastern Swamp Asset SEC proved & expectation reserves evaluation and reporting project for one year with Audit ratings of ‘Good’.

Well site/Operations Geologist–SPDC Asset Wells Execution–Nov.2010 - March. 2016

Geologist in the Asset Wells Execution team accountable for all SPDC asset well delivery operations involving well plan optimization, drilling risk analysis, DWOP/CWOP/LWOP, drilling technology evaluation, well proposals preparation, well

site operations geology, Well engineering interface, monitoring drilling wells, updating well prognosis, picking casing and core points, well site data acquisition, mud logging, Calling TD, well completion support and end-of-well reporting.

Key Results:

Drilled 4 shallow offshore and 2 onshore wells safely with no incident. I carried out geological correlation of tops and bases on site, picked casing and core points, called TD, updated geological model, prepare End of Well Reports (EoWRs).

Extensive well site experience in different roles including assistant company man, well site petroleum engineer and well site geologist/ liaison, covering numerous exploration, appraisal, development and work over well operations.

Supervision of various types of well site data acquisition and quick-look well site data evaluation.

Development Geologist (Intern) – Field Development Planning & Execution (FD & E) – June 2009 to May 2010

Geologist in the Eastern Swamp Asset Field Development Planning & Execution team accountable for all geology inputs to field development projects at various stages of field life. Scope includes integrated reservoir modeling, multi-disciplinary field studies, seismic interpretation, sub-surface uncertainty analysis, opportunity identification/ maturation, field development planning etc. Worked in one of the most structurally complex onshore Nigerian fields.

Key Results:

Projects delivered include; Oil & gas field development plans, integrated reservoir modeling studies, integrated field reviews, post-drilling reviews, complex well planning/execution, reservoir analysis etc.

Delivered fault seal analysis and fault transmissibility modeling as input to dynamic simulation models, significantly improving on history match time and quality.
