Mark Ozga has over * years of experience engineering high-touch Cisco systems and supporting numerous network devices that have been vital to the safety of people’s lives. Early on, Mark started his career as an independent consultant for Red River, a government contractor awarded a multi-million-dollar contract installing Cisco network equipment in more than a dozen Veteran’s Administration Health Care facilities. Afterward, Mark became chief network administrator for a medical facility that housed a 3.0 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging modality that generated hundreds of gigabits of data per second. Mark was able to bring faulty equipment online so that patients with injuries could be processed for treatment.
Mark later worked for a $937 million e-commerce company that required demanding uptimes, and where any systems failures could be measured in hundreds of thousands of dollars per hour.
Mark’s Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification speaks for his dedication to the comprehension of the Cisco Operating System, which consists of the cumulative works of more than 3,000 world-class Cisco software engineers and took more than 600 person-years to develop. As a member of the network services team, Mark was responsible for maintaining over 1,600 IP nodes, 500 of which were virtual machines. He heavily leveraged System Center 2012 and Solar Winds to monitor nodes on the network and strive for the highest availability uptimes possible.
