Review contract documents and identify requirements and scope of work for project execution, conformance of Technical Information corresponding with Specifications and drawings.

Provide technical support in sourcing of construction materials and vendors for piping systems.

Liaise with procurement and material management team to ensure the project piping material delivery are in time as per planned schedule to site

Coordinate Material Take-off (MTO) activities, identify irregularities, discrepancies and shortfalls and take corrective action as required.

Ensuring that all materials used and work perform as per specifications.

Sound knowledge of P&IDs, plot plan, underground piping and foundation layouts, piping layout, erection drawings, isometric & support drawing, line identification list, pressure test P&ID, Tie-in diagrams.

Execute overall piping fabrication and erection works include identification of materials, coordination for the qualification of welders, organize inspection, NDT, preparation of as built drawing and test pack, preparation of mechanical punch list, hydro testing, box up activities as per applicable codes, procedure and standards

Interface with Client representatives as required for resolving any technical issues.

Familiar with monthly, weekly & daily planning of work at site to achieve the target.

Coordinate for the shutdown activities of piping works, shut down plan preparation, man power, machinery, shut down materials and equipment estimation, coordination for the Permit To Work procedure with client, site preparation etc.,

Conduct a baseline survey of existing facilities and good information on as-builds.

Preparation of tie-in work procedure risk assessment and arrange site survey with signing authorities.

Attend management meeting and carryout the job accordingly.

Provide direction and leadership to the Contractor works scope in all Piping/Mechanical related works.

Handling all piping technical queries and investigating all field pipe work related problems, including the drawing of field sketches when necessary.

Monitoring the daily work activities of Sub Contractor and updating Sub Contractor Progress Reports.

Ensure the Productivity and Quality is maintained by subordinates.

Assist Design Department in solving Piping Modification and Technical Problems in the Field

Provide technical answers to Engineering Queries raised up by the sub-contractor confirming design drawings and standard requirements

Responsible for line checking after hydro test to complete the post punch list prior to sign-off the test packages before signing the completion of piping / mechanical.

Ensure that hydro test reinstatement is to be done as per procedure.

Ensure that all punch list items are resolved, client handover is satisfactorily concluded and that there is no prolongation of project.

Assist pre commissioning and commissioning activities of piping systems, include flange joint leak test, air flushing, water flushing, nitrogen purging.


Participation in the implementation and execution of the overall site HSSE program, ensuring that the work is performed safe, without environmental impact, and addresses the health and well-being of all personnel at site.

Ensuring operations activities at the facilities are performed in accordance with established Company Quality procedures, HSE Codes and standards and recognized industry standards.

Act as area authority for PTW system at the assigned location.

Ensuring PTW system is followed and all safety regulations are adhered.
