• Expertise in the use of BeamPROP optical design software Professional Experiences
The University of Toledo, Ohio Waveguides & Optical Sensors Designing Sep. 2017 - Present
• Designed two different types of sensors, one is based on the optical directional coupler technique & the second one is based on the long-range surface plasmon technique.
• Used BeamProp software to design the Directional coupler device.
• Designed optical sensors based on the directional coupler and long-range surface plasmon techniques.
• Used the simulations and the computer languages to vary the parameters of the sensors to obtain the best sensitivity of the device.
• Created a simulation environment matched with the real world to implement applying laser beams on atmospheric aerosols and received the backscattering collected in a limited capacity of a detector to draw the relationship between two variables for obtaining the complete identity of the media’s particles using the optical formulas.
• Measured the turbidity of drink water by the use of the LIDAR system for the purpose of creating a new scale used for evaluating the turbidity using the speed of light in the detection as an alternative to the common technique. Faculty Member of the Physics Department Dec 2005 - Present
• Taught different courses including the following: optics, atomic physics, nuclear physics, digital electronics, computer science, physics for geology, mechanical physics, electricity, and analog electronics.
• Experience teaching in lab equipment such as digital and analog electronic, AC & DC electrical setups, geometrical and physical optics setups, mechanical setups, and X-ray and radiation setups.
Atmospheric Science, Remote Sensing, Atmospheric Aerosols Detection & Environmental Projects Expert. Jul. 2001 - Present
• Designed and created an alternative layer than Ozone layer in the purpose of the ozone hole existence by the use of X-COM database software.
• Used a laser beam to detect the identity of the types of atmospheric aerosols in the atmosphere.
