I started before they opened and the owner t rained me for weeks to be kitchen rnanager. He sent me to classes to get n1y serve safe management cert ification. I cooked Italian food and pizza newyork style while doing my managernent duties. Unfortunately the restaurant closed not due to business, because we \II/ere packed every night it was the owner and his proble1ns.

I went to labs and hospitals picking up medical specimens rnajority was cancerous biopsies and then take them to a lab that makes slides for those labs and hospitals. This was my dad's Sears hometown store I n1oved back to Nev,1 Hampshire from Florida. I started in t he 1,varehouse unloading t rucks putting together tractors,sno\11/blowers,grills,etc eventually I got a chance to be on the sales f loor and my first rnonth I out sold the two best sales employees that my dad had. The assistant manager quit and i took her spot and it wasn't because my dad was t he owner, the area manager chose me because my sales were off the charts. I sold the rnost protection agreernents on our appliances and tvs etc. I was number one in t he nation in getting customers approved for Sears credit cards which made a commission on each customer approved. I got invited to go to the sears national convention were I was a key speaker on upselling during sale w ithout pressuring the customer. And if a Customer was within 15. Miles f rom our store I would deliver there appliance or tv rnyself and with another helper from t he store. Then Sears f iled for bankruptcy and we had to close

shut it down. So I was told to go to gators I reluctantly went due to the fact it was a seafood restaurant I didn't know anything about cooking seafood. I went in they were still under miner construction they were opening a few days later. I asked for an application he told me we have enough applications for cooks. Then he asked can u make pizzas. I was shocked when those words came out. We walked to the kitchen and I made him a large pizza flipping and tossing it in the air. When it came out of the oven he said your hired so I made the gourmet pizza menu we agreed with ownership that those recipes were mine I became line manager and patrons would come back to take pictures with me and watch me f lip the dough in the air.
