I am applying for a CDL A position in the area. I have enjoyed my career as a OTR driver and am seeking a full time position locally to be with my family more now that I have my experience.
I have been working in this field for approximately 5 years gaining experience in the OTR setting traveling all 48. I have driven both dry van and flatbed and with my current job I also haul oversize. I also have operated and went through boom certification class. I am responsible for securing and properly transporting all materials to their destination and enjoy the hands on part of it. I have learned to decipher the best method for transport depending on the specific load.
Also, My experience working in the food business for the previous 12+ years I feel has helped me tremendously with customer service, as I have worked for years with the public, enabling me to meet and go beyond what needs to be done as far as keeping them happy.
My passion for people and detail-oriented skills are why I excel as a OTR driver; and my ability to work as a team player would be an asset to your company. I thoroughly love this new journey and hope to further my experience and training. I also plan to get all my endorsements by the end of this year, therefore to better my knowledge of the job I have come to love. I would love the opportunity to join your team!
