Dear Hiring Manager,

I’m pleased to be writing to you today regarding a registered nurse position with you. I believe my qualifications and experience make me an ideal candidate for a position. As a new nurse I am dedicated to continuing education and providing high quality patient-centered care. Through my clinical rotations, I have had the opportunity to work in various settings, including medical-surgical, psychiatric, pediatrics, and obstetrics. My experience helped prepare me to develop the skills necessary in the challenges of nursing.

In addition, my experience working with children as a teacher assistant in an elementary school, as well as a support aide for children with special needs, has enabled me to build an awareness and dedication to the needs of many populations in such a diverse society, as well as a familiarity with the school setting.

I am very enthusiastic about beginning my nursing career with you and I believe a relationship with you would be mutually beneficial, as I am seeking a challenging work environment where I can utilize my skills to the fullest extent. I look forward to hearing from you, and would love to explain my skills further during an interview. Please find a detailed account of my work history in the attached resume.
