WORK HISTORY (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE)

March 2002- Feb 2014 BEC Layout/Product Engineer Delphi Packard Electric Systems

Design and develop electrical center concepts, support/direct CAD group in creating 3D models, manufacturing files and detail prints.

Evaluate, present and implement engineering changes orders from prototype throughout production

Create and maintain DFMEA and DFM for prototype and production products.

Create and maintain Dimensional management through GD&T stack-ups for mechanical constrains.

Coordinate / manage project activities including the release of product designs for prototypes and production.

Coordinate / manage product and design validation test activities.

Support customer builds, launches, reliability complains as required.

Perform design reviews and present to peers to evaluate and identify potential risks on design concepts.

Follow corporate and industry standards, guidelines and best practices in order to ensure compliance for all designs.

Continuous focus on cost and quality improvements for existing and new designs.

Accomplishments:

GMT 900 successful products design (SUV's and Pickups) in the highest volume platform ever launched up to date for Delphi. (1.7M/year at the first year *2006).

U.S. Patent granted, publication number 20150125200

Successfully design new electrical centers from prototype through production for demanding high-volume projects including General Motors 31XXN (Chevy Colorado light truck) and Mercedes Benz BR166 (C class vehicles) prefuse platforms.

Savings of $10 per vehicle for GMT 900 Pick ups over the first production year.

Epsillon II (NA, EU and Asia platform) successful PCB design and electrical architecture (mechanical design driven by Delphi Germany) SOP May-09 (estimated 5 Million over 5 years)

Golden cube BEC design. Communization of GMT900 and Epsillon II platforms in a 35% smaller product and 20% cheaper. (Mechanical design driven by the NA advanced engineering group). GM granted $1M for the project, was intended only for research purposes.

February 2014 - currently Mechanical Design Engineer DISH

Design and develop electrical manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvements throughout the facility.

Work with vendors and manufacturers to design, develop tool fixtures and equipment to implement a cost effective solutions.

Analyze and prepare technical drawings, specifications to ensure operations conform to standards and customer requirements.

2000-2001(1997-1999) Sorting Supervisor Sorting & Supplier Rep.

In this company, I was responsible for all the sorting done for suppliers of plastic material established in El Paso, TX. The main providers were Yazaki Corp. and Elcom Inc. I was in charge of ten production operators, which were the ones who did the actual sorting of material.
