Snr. Project Manager. Executed the PDVSA Dragon and Nautilus Mining Solwara 1 development projects. Contributions to these projects are:

o Greatly improved the relationship between Technip and PDVSA which was very strained. Improved the PDVSA budget by around $25M by noting an error in engineering which would have resulted in the requirement to change the execution methodology from S-Lay to J-Lay. Improved the PDVSA budget by around $10 - 15M by selecting an alternative to avoid piling of the Inline Tees to resist the seismic environment.

o The relationship with Nautilus was very adverse and improved this relation to such an extent that Client awarded Technip the majority of extra work. The Project entered a complete new industry and required the project team to create solutions for new issues such as bringing dredged slurry to the surface from 1,500m depth.
