Continuous Improvement analysis and activities in fields of manufacturing.

2014- 2015 Project Engineer, Swagelok High Production Facility, Solon, Ohio.

Successful completion of $700,000 project on time and on budget.

Achieved robust successful production. Implemented a new process improvement that will be deployed through the entire department.

2002-2014 Engineering Supervisor, Swagelok Main Plant, Solon, Ohio.

Supervised 14 Engineers and Technicians.

Created a new engineer “on boarding” training program that became a Corporate model.

Responsible for a Lean Supply Chain environment.

Managed part movement, capacity and load with staff and planning for over 40 production machines. Number of parts were in the 10s of thousands +. New parts added everyday.

Managed numerous smaller capital projects for continuous improvement, including production, safety, ergonomics, rebuilds etc.

Managed a project to purchase two $3.4 million production machines. These machines are the most highly sought after machines in Swagelok because of their flexibility, and new technology that is now being duplicated with new machine purchases. In just 1 year these machines produced over $10m in profit.

Instrumental in having the idea for a patent that is selling millions of new products.

2000-2002 Quality Control Manager, Fitting Group, Swagelok.

Responsible for 10 Quality Control Supervisors and their management of 60+ Inspectors.

Managed Customer Returns and Corrective Actions and product containment.

Proficient in Disciplined Problem Solving.

1997-2000 Engineering Supervisor, Swagelok Pritchard. Hiram, Ohio.

Managed 4 Engineers and Technicians.

Developed tooling and new drop complete processes. The processes run to this day having made millions of high quality parts.

Developed a concept of an automated thread rolling system. System continues to run 2+ shifts of production, having run millions of parts.

1993-1997 Plant Manager, Swagelok, Birmingham, Alabama.

Created manufacturing facility, installed 14 production machines.

Managed hiring, training, production, quality control, machine set-up and repair, environmental and safety programs. Responsible for entire facility, concrete to ceiling and renovations.

Interviewed and hired for two shifts, over 20 associates.

Developed and trained new Supervisors in delegating my various responsibilities.

Trained and qualified new Inspectors to be able to release product.

Managed hiring, production, quality control, machine set-up, repair and the entire facility.

This was a small seed plant destined for Birmingham, AL.
