PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Safety Technician

JVIC, LaPorte TX January 2016 - August 2016

Performed daily safety audits and gathered behavioral based findings from technicians and analyzed at-risk findings by creating excel data sheet to look for trends and safety topics we needed to address

Conducting help audits with peers and was nominated lead technician to generate graphs created from compiled data to present to the client in effort to identify trending at-risk findings

Executed (SIMS) Supervisor’s first report of injury or illness for all contractors on night shift. Gathered, analyzed, and conduced cause maps for incidents to discover route causes and safety plans for company to prevent further incidents.

Key member of the all boots on ground safety audit team that focused on all contractors on jobsite. Elected subject matter-expert for working at heights where I performed extensive observations of all work at heights. Designed, developed, and implemented Audit System that highlighted Positive Observations and At-Risk findings for management to use as tools to identify trending occupational and/or behavioral trends.

ExxonMobil BOP, Baytown, TX May 2013 - May 2015

Performed 15,636 behaviors based audits for all on site contractors and ExxonMobil employees. Activities included field auditing, hazard recognition, reporting and documentation of at risk behaviors in the work place. At risk findings decreased 17% and first aids decreased by 36 incidents within first year of Plant wide data collected.

Categorized compiled data weekly and submitted to SHE management for review of findings to determine appropriate Root Cause for questionable observations. Near Losses, first aids, and OSHA recordables collectively declined by 16%.

Evaluated SAI data to find patterns within specific work groups and communicated that information as such to implement retraining of personnel and engaged appropriate levels of leadership

Generated comprehensive reports to Process and Mechanical Second Line Supervisors when SAI percentage dropped below a predetermined score of 85% for their specific area of operations with detailed strategies.

Conducted weekly safety meetings with upper management to discuss reported at-risk and positive findings to provide information on which areas and work groups needs additional focus and/or training
