Assisted with implementing multiple integrated Hamilton robotics, including integrating 3rd party devices (ELx405 plate washers, Inheco incubators, Cytomat ambient storage, Cytomat C10 and C2 incubators). Also familiar with Hamilton ODTC, HHS, Hamilton 2D barcode devices. Repurposed two Biomek FX’s into custom built sterile workstations. Developed 12 well and 24 well cell-base assays on the Biomek FX’s platforms with programming (Dendritic Cells (DC) cells, B cells, and T cells) for vaccine research to increase throughput from Scientists performing these assays manually. Experienced with automated ELISA assays on Agilent Bravo, Biomek FX and Hamilton platforms.
ADVANCED FIELD APPLICATIONS • BECKMAN COULTER • AUGUST 2016 – OCTOBER 2017
Provide automated laboratory solutions with Beckman Coulter liquid handling Automation including Biomek 4000, Biomek FX and Biomek NX liquid handlers. Program the Biomek Software 4.0 to provide automated solutions for Government, Universities, Pharmaceutical and Agricultural Industries. Provide customer technical support for automated Immunoassay instruments and assays. Troubleshoot software, hardware, assay performance, QC and calibrations. Beckman Coulter instrumentation supported includes Access 2 and DxI Immunoassay systems. Technical support includes various laboratories for Government, Universities, Clinics and Hospitals.
AUTOMATION ENGINEER • MONSANTO • JANUARY 2011 – JULY 2016
Automated HT DNA workflows for PCR applications using multiple automated platforms (Beckman Coulter, Hamilton, Agilent, Tecan and Applied Biosystems). Experienced troubleshooting automation issues on multiple platforms to ensure production continued without delay or without repeating assays. Quality Management System (QMS) Quality Champion including Internal and External Auditor for ISO 9001. Performed QC Data analysis on multiple assays to ensure quality control of automated laboratory processes.
SCIENTIST • PFIZER • NOVEMBER 2000 – APRIL 2009
Supervisor of a multiple user in-vitro cell culture laboratory for drug discovery science in DMPK. Data QC of small drug molecules for a high-throughput drug screening laboratory. Operated custom-built cell culture laboratory using programming, aseptic techniques, SOP’s, GLP and safety procedures. Co-author of a publication in Drug Metabolism and Distribution, November 2006.
