Maintenance and development for RIMS, the Requisition and Inventory Maintenance

System, including

several fixes for the last release and standardized part load programs for converting both Fisher and customer owned inventory for new customers. System included over 130 CICS/DB2 modules running on OS/2 servers, using IBM mainframe coomunications through the LU6.2 port, for catalog number verification.

Developed CheckFree/Telephone Banking interface system (processes 50,000 transactions and $60,000,000 in checks per month) driving from online telephone banking system, creating merchant and customer records for file maintenance and creating daily payment records for processing. At final processing time all changes from the customer and merchant database systems extract files are processed to ensure the transactions are up-to-date. The files are sent by a batch FTP job, a batch FTP job gets the acknowledgment files and verifies results, and a final FTP batch job sends all the files and results to the client. Part of three member development and maintenance team for Web/host interface system for Net access to host commercial accounts, and an enhanced security system for Web access to host retail accounts. These systems include over 150 modules, batch and online, and over 20 batch jobs. Did extensive analysis and maintenance to main online BAL audit module. Created design documents, flow charts, and system overview documents. Converted batch COBOL II jobs to COBOL III (Z/OS) and did preliminary IAM files access testing for new Z/OS release.

At United Engineering Co.: Development of DB2 modules for Invoicing portion of OFS Warehousing and Shipment tracking system written by UEC for National Steel, to be run on their mainframe, using MicroFocus COBOL and XDB developmental tools, and Animator software and Workbench tools, to test modules, and the XDB SQL Wizard to test SQL code and access tables. Created JCL for batch modules.

Exported, tested, updated, and promoted modules on remote site mainframe. At Duquesne Light: Development, enhancements, and maintenance to DB2 and batch modules in various systems interfacing with Oracle s SCIM system, on large scale IBM mainframe using OS/390, ISPF R.3, and (E)JES, using Librarian/Ellipse, FileAid, FileAid for DB2, QMF and SPUFI.

Created modules to audit, accumulate, and create offset account data for various transaction types created by the SCIM system while applying sales tax and various pricing and warehousing charges.

Sweep the database and create detail report for any new stock items detected, delete tables, rebuild from generated transactions, update every member with summary totals from detail level table, and update using data from matching members with different masters, with two sets of selection criteria controlling the processing.

Print completed and non-completed requisitions audit. Module and job stream to delete prior CICS systems access from security file for users of the new SCIM system.

Audit invalid vendor names converted/uploaded to SCIM system and sub-program to extract names and correct order with mixed order prefixes, suffixes, imbedded fax numbers, etc. for audit program.

At Mellon Bank: Maintained, enhanced, and converted Mellon Bank retail applications using COBOL, SAS, VSAM, MOPS, and FILEAID on large IBM mainframe system running OS/MVS. Set up, tested, and implemented AAA deconversion of Recovery s system, including active to dead processing, archiving, and daily system processes in batch and CICS, converting vendor supplied inline JCL job containing 1290 lines to multiple PROCS within multiple jobs.

Created module to generate various selected account transactions. Changes to main module for line of credit, installment loans, and credit cards. Performed stream tests and major maintenance to several systems during COBOL II conversion, and several corporation or company adds or changes. Used DYL280 utility language extensively to do file and data manipulation, and complex, multi-step file conversions and custom reports.
