The Enterprise Data Warehouse is a multi-year project which is dedicated to build a centralized data warehouse that is scalable, balanced, and flexible enough to meet existing and future needs. The objective of the project is to build independent data marts that serves specific line of business (LOB) which includes Customer relationship management, Programming, Property and Equipment’s and Inventory. Depending on the business purpose and requirements some Datamarts were designed using Entity relationship modeling and others using Dimensional Modeling. The project aims at standardizing the data across the departments there by ensuring data quality and uniformity. Legacy data will be transformed and migrated into the new model.


Participated in meetings with Business partners to understand the requirements and performance expectations.

Performed extensive analysis, research on the existing system and interviewed application Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to understand the current architecture and its functionality. Compiled business and technical findings into ready reference documentation for each subject area.

Reverse engineered existing legacy system and developed detailed metadata documentation for the existing Datamart. Derived the business name, business description, code values and other critical information for each entity and attribute in the data model.

Reverse engineered the existing ETL Scripts to develop mapping document to establish data lineage between the source and the target. The underlying business rules and ETL Derivations are captured and documented as part of the Data Mapping documentation.
