Resume:

DAVID BEAM, PMP, CPA, CIA, CISA, MBA

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A highly seasoned business professional with over 20 years finance, audit and IT experience. Known for expertise in Oracle Cloud, as well as strong work ethic, and ability to create, lead and grow “ultra” high-functioning teams.

Still an active CPA today who began a career in Financial Accounting at Ernst & Young as an external Auditor. In the late 90’s, self-taught how to configure the core financial modules within Oracle EBS 11i. Finding a natural knack for system implementations, both likely due to a natural interest in IT Corporate Systems and how ERP systems ultimately reconcile with US GAAP reporting, was promoted ahead of contemporaries due to a unique understanding of Accounting, Financial Reporting, Business Processes (MBA grad) and ERP system configuration.

Continued to grow knowledge and leadership skills, which went into high gear after earning the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Lead implementation projects as small as 8 to 10 people, to leading a team of 114 for a large global project for American Express.

Experience moving from 11i to R12, which continued to stretch knowledge and leadership skills by volunteering to lead projects for teams of all sizes and around the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Netherlands, Hawaii, Canada and many states throughout the US.

Selected to be part of one of the first ‘early adopter’ Oracle Fusion Financials implementations performed on a public company at Chick-Fil-A in Atlanta, GA.

Learned Fusion before it was released to the public. Very thorough understanding of exactly how Oracle Cloud Financials, Procurement, Projects, Inventory and more are meant to be configured.

A leading knowledge resource on implementing best practices for Oracle Cloud Applications. Featured speaker at various Oracle Events such as OW and OAUG. Also holds Oracle Cloud training classes for the public. Continues to lead large-scale, often international and complex Oracle Cloud projects across the globe.
