Black Diamond Advanced Technology Chandler, AZ, USA 2017–Present
Systems Engineer/ Test Lead
Defines & scopes customer needs and required functionality early in the development cycle. Track the requirement and specifications through design and quality testing of prototypes before releasing designs into production. Focus on continuous improvement of processes, procedures, policies and documentation. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with engineer leads to implement solutions. Testing prototypes to MIL-Standards including IP67 and EMI profiling. Creates requirement from customer specifications and requests, and then work with the design team to create a viable design that have customer’s approval and is designed to appropriate military standards. Creates test plans and procedures for all designs and production prototypes. Coordinates system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing. Structure validation, verification and integration of the sub-systems whilst continuously considering the complete system problem
Accomplishments:
Restructured the RF lab and EMI chamber procedures for emission evaluation.
Successfully brought the company’s most complex system through environmental and EMI testing in less than 60 days.
Honeywell Aerospace Phoenix, AZ, USA 2012–2017
Control Systems Engineer
Worked in the HTF7000 Control Systems Integration Group supporting control system bench testing for system validation and certification. Wrote software test procedures, test cases, trouble shot and reviewed tests, for embedded software of the full-authority digital electronic control unit. Developed and implemented new bench test standards into a protean platform that required minimal customization between programs. Wrote and executed software tests for control system validation and verification. Supported development and validation of control system logic. Wrote certification documents necessary for FAA approval. Lead Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) efforts in support of research and engine certification.
Accomplishments:
As a Project Manager/Engineer managed resources, statements of work, status reports, project sprints, and acted as an intermediate between teams a processes to a successful post-certification design tests.
Created test plans and procedures for program overlapping Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) and Lightning bench calibration, implementation and testing for certification.
Project Engineer for development testing supporting foreign nation certification, within the scope of EMI, HIRF and Lightning.
VETS LLC Yuma Proving Ground, AZ, USA 2008–2012
C4ISR Test Engineer
Worked for the National Counterterrorism/Counterinsurgency Integrated Test and Evaluation Center (NACCITEC), who effectively functions as a third party test entity for the Department of Defense (DOD). Conducted testing of sensitive systems that are secret by nature, which eventually used in actual combat theaters across the world – with the focus on Counter-IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices). Designed, developed and executed tests on systems, and provide DOD with and full and complete evaluation of the systems performance and limitation. Conducted frequent testing of systems under realistic EME and simulated GSM/CDMA/EDGE networks. Testing included both hardware and embedded software of rapidly deployable systems.
Accomplishments:
As Project Lead, managed resources and personnel not uncommonly up to 60 individuals.
Created plans and methods for RF monitoring and measuring, which greatly increased overall efficiency and reduced up to 50% of cost
Employed in-depth knowledge in calibrating a multimillion-dollar equipment, leading to the detection of previously undiscovered major hardware faults, which prevented the company from the liability of testing and improved the quality of service
