South Florida Pediatric Partners

Took medical histories and performed physical exams for well and sick children, ages ranging from infancy to 18 years old. Performed tests when necessary such as the rapid strep test.

Internal Medicine 6 weeks

Pinnacle Healthcare System

Took medical histories and performed physical exams for new and established patients. Performed cardiac specific exams on patients in this cardiology-based office. Took vital signs and evaluated urine samples, and performed EKGs on patients. Wrote SOAP notes for physician.

Took vital signs and medical histories for new and established patients. Interacted with patients with common psychiatric illnesses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.

Obstetrics & Gynecology 3 weeks

Assisted the physician during pap smears. Observed in-office procedures such as dilation and curettage and endometrial ablations.

Cardiology 6 weeks

Memorial Regional Hospital

Completed hospital rounds on new and established patients, wrote progress notes, suggested imaging and labs, and a treatment plan for patients. Took medical histories and performed physical exams for cardiac patients. Observed coronary artery bypass graft surgeries and cardiac ablations for patients with atrial fibrillation and supraventricular tachycardias.

Family Medicine 6 weeks

Dr. Pamela Stearns

Took histories and performed physical exams on new and established patients. Suggested imaging and labs and possible changes to treatment. Assisted physician with procedures such as pap smears.

Pediatric Gastroenterology 4 weeks

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

Completed daily hospital rounds. Gathered histories from children and parents and performed physical exams on patient in the hospital setting and office setting. Wrote progress notes for patients and suggested imaging, labs and possible treatment approaches. Help physician assistant calculate correct volume of formula and frequency of meals for patients with gastrostomy tubes or patients being fed through nasogastric tubes.

Endocrinology 4 weeks


Took histories and performed physical exams on new and established patients in the office setting. Wrote SOAP notes for physician. Suggested labs, imaging, and treatment options for patients. Assisted physician during procedures such as fine needle aspiration of the thyroid gland.


I have taught ages 5 to 17 years old as a substitute teacher in the Broward County Public School System and at Hollywood Academy of Arts and Sciences, beginning March 2014 to present. I currently work as a substitute teacher at Hollywood Academy of Arts and Sciences. In the fall of 2010, while pursuing my undergraduate education, I served as an undergraduate teaching assistant and lead one-hour general chemistry sessions before each scheduled general chemistry laboratory course. The purpose of these one-hour sessions was to help reinforce what was being taught in the general chemistry lecture, by providing a hands-on approach to the lecture material.
